Just when I thought I was on to the next series of mixes, they pull me back in. Just like when a thief says he is giving up scores but then takes that last job… or 2 or 3. This caper mix is dedicated to my buddy Matt Winkel who is a HUGE Beastie Boy fan. I was recently listening to their latest instrumental album when thinking, wow, this would be perfect for a heist mix. Where better to set than in Brooklyn. In this heist I imagine our team posing as hipsters in Williamsburg to get in with their mark. They would sport ironic mustaches and wear skinny jeans rolled up on one leg and escape on fixies.
